Shotton Paper Mill and Shotton Tissue Mill formed part of one of the largest and most technologically advanced paper manufacturing developments in Europe, delivered in Deeside for Eren Holding.
Working with SML on the Paper Mill and Stellar UK on the Tissue Mill, McCrory Brickwork was initially appointed to deliver the masonry blockwork package for the main PM3 Paper Mill building.
Through our performance on site and a collaborative, customer-focused approach, our scope expanded significantly to include additional buildings across the wider development. These works included the Effluent Treatment Plant, Starch Building, Combined Heat and Power facility, Warehouse and Dispatch, and the TM1 Tissue Mill.
Across an 18-month programme, McCrory Brickwork delivered masonry works to seven separate buildings, laying in excess of 250,000 blocks and contributing to a landmark manufacturing facility capable of transforming the UK’s paper and tissue production capacity.
